Sales Order Definition in ERP
Sales Order:-
A Sales Order is a document created in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) by the sales personnel based on a written/ confirmed purchase order received from the customer.
The Sales Order is reviewed by the Branch Head and approved in the ERP. Subsequent to approval by the Branch Head the order is considered valid and also referred to as a confirmed Sales Order. It serves as the basis on which the Invoice is generated once the finished goods are ready for despatch.
