This is to inform you that contract for transportation of our finished goods from factory to various destinations for the period from 1^st Oct’12 to 31^st March’13 has been awarded to the following transporters.

The details of destinations, transshipment point, transit time along with terms and conditions is given herein below for your ready reference:

Finished Goods Transportation (Terms & Conditions)

01. Special Terms & Conditions:-

a)      In the event of delay in placement of trucks beyond 48 hours after requisition, you will have to pay Rs 1000 per day for such delay.

In the event of delay on our part to load the trucks after placement by you within prescribed time limit, we shall reimburse you a sum of Rs.800/- per day for such delay from our side.

b)      On working days trucks that report to our godowns before 1 P.M will be unloaded on same day. On Saturday, cut off time for unloading shall be 12 noon. Trucks that report to our godowns beyond the cut off time, will be unloaded on next working day.

You shall be paid Rs 1500 per day as detention charges for the trucks whose unloading is delayed   by more than one working day. 

c)      In case of Early/late arrival of truck from the stipulated transit time,                         bonus/penalty will be payable as follows;

1 Day – Penalty/Bonus will be nil.

2-4 Days – Penalty/Bonus will be Rs 1500 per day.

For more than 4 days delay penalty of Rs 1000 per day will be applicable.

d)      All bills must be duly supported by signed and stamped receipts by the consignee, certificates regarding shortage and damages (if any) and a copy of Challan given by our factory, shall be submitted to our Head Office. Bills with full enclosures shall normally be paid within 60 days of material arrival or 45 days from the date of bills receipt, whichever is later.  

02. General Terms & Conditions:-

i)        Transporter’s membership of the Indian Banking Association is an essential and it will be your responsibility to ensure continuity of this membership during the tenure of this contract.

ii)      Transporters will arrange to open a suitable local office at Mumbai near our factory site and the same will be manned by sufficient number of skilled personnel.

It must have phone and e-mail to give regular feed back on the movement of the truck. For all vehicles loaded at transhipment point, the mobile number must be informed to our Head Office Logistic Department by email.

iii)    Factory Dispatch Department will advise your local representative of our requirement of trucks for various destinations at least 24 hours in advance. Trucks must be placed at the site of loading before 2 P.M.

iv)    All goods will be insured by us at our cost. However, any shortage at the time of delivery will be made good by you at prevailing dealer prices. Any damage due to negligence on your part shall also be recoverable from you.

v)      Withstanding that insurance coverage, it shall be your responsibility to ensure safety of our products for carriage both in respect of quantity and quality until they are delivered to the authorized persons at the various destinations.

vi)    Your representative and/or agents/servants (who shall include drivers of trucks placed by you even though the trucks may not actually belong to you) shall sign our documents while taking delivery of our products and this acknowledgement shall be conclusive proof of the delivery of our products to you.

vii)  You will make necessary arrangements to ensure that goods are properly unloaded and loaded under your supervision at the transshipment point and they are not damaged either by careless handling or by exposure to rain, water or fire etc.

viii)        If for any reason other than acts of God like earthquake, floods, riot and strike trucks enrooted are delayed, it shall be your responsibility to bring the fact of such delay or detention to the notice of the concerned RM and our authorized representative at Head Office as well as our nearest branch office at the earliest possible opportunity.
