RECRUITMENT RULES
Recruitment of teachers is one of the most important aspects which affect the growth and development of the school directly and deserves a very special attention of all concerned. If the students of DPS is to achieve academic excellence it is imperative that this aspect is given due importance right from the stage of selection of teachers. Selection of teachers has to be strictly on the basis of ‘merit’ which would consider the following aspects:
- Academic excellence, i.e., consistently good academic record.
- Professionally trained with good results.
- High level of motivation for the profession.
- Experience
All recruitments are to be initiated only after the vacancies have been sanctioned by the Local Managing Committee. The Appointment Sub-Committee is the agency to select and empanel candidates. The President is to issue the appointment letter duly countersigned by Secretary of MC only after the selection is approved by the Local Managing Committee.
Keeping these as the important criteria for selection, following minimum criteria are to be met by a candidate to be considered for selection:
For P G T : Post Graduates in respective subject and a B.Ed
For T.R.T : Honours Graduates in respective subjects with a B.Ed
For P.R.T : Graduates with B.Ed/TTC/Montessori Training
Procedures recruitment of teachers:
- As far as possible the process of recruitment should start well ahead of the new session when the requirements of additional teachers come up.
- A copy of the advertisement, proposed to be published in newspapers, is to be forwarded to the Managing Committee for prior approval.
- On receipt of the applications in response to the advertisement a preliminary screening is to be carried out by a team of HOD’s and the Principal.
- The short listed candidates will be called for interview by the interview board comprising of the Academic Sub-Committee and the subject experts.
- Subjects to availability, the Board will select adequate numbers of candidates as the main and stand by for the vacant posts. For the selection, ‘Merit’ viz. academic excellence, professional training and motivation should be the main criteria.
- The proceedings of the interview board will be forwarded to the Managing Committee for approval. On receipt of the approved proceedings the selected candidates will be given appointment letters as per their position in the panel.
- The appointment letters will be issued on the format as approved from time to time.
The Academic Sub-Committee is to follow the following scale for an objective assessment of the candidates.

As far as possible mid session recruitments are to be avoided. However if any requirement comes up, selection is to be carried out by an interview board comprising of Vice chairman, President, Principal Secretary of MC and a member of MC.
